John Brennan PA-C is utilizing 10 years of experience as a physician assistant working in orthopedics along with formal training in functional medicine to become a practitioner within and the founder of Infinite Natural Health LLC.
Functional medicine has inspired John to make a fundamental change in his career path for two primary reasons. The first motivating factor occurred while working in orthopedics. He felt limited in the time he was able to invest per visit and in the accepted treatment options. This was especially evident with his patient interactions while the patients were experiencing multiple disease processes. There was simply not enough time to fully address the root cause of the patient’s complaints. He began realizing why most practitioners use the generic advice of, “eat better and exercise”. These oversimplified recommendations were given in haste, leading to some practitioners who would then use the latest pharmaceutical as the ‘real’ treatment. In an industry that is dictated by insurance reimbursement and pharmaceutical profits, the implementation of diet and exercise recommendations are not typically emphasized.
The second reason for John changing his medical methods is a personal experience with a devastating injury. After following the traditional medical recommendations, resulting in five surgeries and a mountain of medications, his overall quality of life was not improving. Over six years of fighting with symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, and brain fog, he turned to functional medicine for his own wellness. Functional medicine was integral in his overall healing process and allowed him to eliminate all of his prior prescription medicines. John is now committed to the process of improving his own health.
Through the struggle of a life-changing injury, John has been able to enrich and improve his physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. He is now equipped through experience and education to assist others in the pursuit of total wellness.
